Dot Dot Dot: UK
Dot Dot Dot is a cool housing social enterprise that lets people who do great volunteering live as property guardians in buildings that would otherwise be empty.
By acting as property guardians, they receive cheap homes in return for taking care of where they live – and by reducing their cost of living, we enable them to volunteer more. This recipe turns empty buildings from a blight into an asset – providing a vital security service to property owners, giving our guardians cheap accommodation, and making a meaningful and measurable contribution to communities.
Since 2011, our guardians have contributed over 20,000 hours to great causes. That's the equivalent of 12 years of full time work - paid at the UK average wage of £12.74 per hour, that’s equivalent to a contribution of £254,800!
